Caroline's Story
Caroline has been a classroom teacher for almost 7 years and has taught kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. She has a masters degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelors degree in Dance and Movement Studies. Caroline believes all children are capable, curious and deserving of joyful and empowering learning. Before working on early childhood education, Caroline was part of the fitness industry as an instructor in yoga as well as the non-profit world- serving as a program manager, outreach coordinator and coach at Girls on the Run.
With continued professional development over the years in the Science of Reading research and experience teaching Structured Literacy, along with training in Orton-Gillingham, Fundations and Handwriting Without Tears, Caroline is a skilled interventionist in early reading and writing. She also has experience teaching math using Cognitively Guided Instruction and loves helping children both harness their creativity and passion as mathematicians while also building strong foundational math skills.
As a 200-hour certified yoga teacher (and holding additional certifications in children’s yoga and prenatal yoga) and a former yoga studio owner, Caroline approaches educational therapy with a holistic lens. She integrates movement, sensory play and mindfulness into her educational therapy sessions, allowing all types of children to engage and connect with their learning.
